Did you know that summer is an ideal time to take your senior portraits. First, you’re out of school with no extra-curricular activities going on. Once school starts it can be really difficult and inconvenient to take off. Senior’s typically have to leave school for more reasons and this just adds another one. Second, once your senior year begins the expenses really start to add up with everything from Home Coming, Christmas, Formal, Cap & Gowns, announcements, graduation, graduation parties, and the list goes on. Getting your senior portraits done early gets them out of the way so you can focus on what’s important… graduation :). Now I know that some of you like to get your senior portraits done at the same time as your yearbook portrait, but you might want to think twice. See my blog post Contracted vs. Direct Market, a No Brainer for more on this.  I also know that some seniors and/or parents might want to wait until you look more like a senior, but let’s be honest, a few extra months really isn’t going to make that much of a difference, and besides I can always add some wrinkles and age spots in Photoshop (just kidding!).
